MUSIC: All-Girl Band, Giana Factory, Talk About Music And Art

Following their electric performance supporting The Raveonettes we had a quick chat with band complrised of lead singer and sample player Louise Foo, guitarist Lisbet Fritze and synth player Sofie Johanne. We talked about their re-make collection and how the band's collage art work reflects their multi-layered music. The album covers were done by Danish artist Sofie Alsbo. Based in London and having studied at Central St. Martins, she also created the video/visuals that often accompany their live shows.

Fashion Beat Presents 2010 Highlights - "Trespassers" Music Video

Between showcasing parts One and Two of our interview with Danish band Kashmir we thought we would take this opportunity to re-showcase the video for their song "Trespassers". As lead singer Kasper Eistrup relates in Part One of the interview, they got their fans involved by having them film themselves making use of the trademark orange and blue arrows in some way. Then the clips were submitted to be included in the video.

Launching their first pop-up event, Insound partnering with artist duo Sonnenzimmer and Jason Munn to create a gallery space bringing together art and music, a selection of limited edition band posters and t shirts were on sale along with design-oriented audio products as well as old-skool vinyl listening stations.
